jdk for redhat and Gnumeric spreadsheet..


can someone plz tell me how i can get Gnumeric spreadsheet in to redhat?? i suppose i have to install it separately is it? coz its not there by default.. any good links to download it from??

and also what are the jdk installations needed for a redhat machine to run java programs using javac , java commands??

Distribution: puppy and Ubuntu and ... erh ... redhat(sort of) :( ... + the venerable bsd and solaris ^_^

for gnumeric probably you can try here :: http://download.fedoralegacy.org/redhat/9/os/i386/

for java you can try here :: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

the jdk that i downloaded from there doesn't contain 'javac' (??)
and also the Gnumeric... came with this RPM application.. I'm having trouble installing from that , i gave the following cmd in a terminal
RPM --install gnumeric....
it gives errors saying NoKEY etc etc im confused

you can try this if you want ::

rpm -ivh --nodigest --nosignature gnumeric-1.0.12-3.i386.rpm


can try again with this one ::

JDK 5.0 Update 7 with NetBeans 5.0


btw ... if you are a fan of redhat , why not get yourself fedora or centos ... if not a fan , you can try ubuntu ...
