Easiest way to compile a small modern Xorg?

Hi, I am building a distro for embedded devices and have the userland perfected, except for an X server. I plan to use X11 forwarding for a thin client setup. An external server will forward to the thin clients. I need to know the simplest, fastest, and most painless way to get a minimal Xorg built capable of this. Graphics acceleration is not important. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

Have you considered Tiny Core Linux? It is one of the smallest fully functional Linux distros out there, that includes X. Perhaps you can leverage their work in your project.

You'll need a few libs before compiling the server itself. Which ones will depend on the version of Xorg you use and which options you choose at compile time.
