Question Any Linux memory guru here...??

We are student of final semester of BCS, and we are doing a project on linuix kernel multiplexing. For this project we need to create four seperate and independent memory region. Something like the four partition of the memory. Such that each partition of memory is handled separately by the kernel. The possible solution which we think should work is that to create four separate mem_maps. Can it work and if so where we should divide it..?

Thanks in Advance.
ps. We won;t mind even if you point out to the possible problems which you think should arise in it... If you need more information about it you can mail on

yup...or kmem_cache_* are the calls that allow u to do so..
these are the calls that allow you to make a big buffer which you can use to
allocate new objects for yourself later...read the aformentioned chapter and getting hod of memory chapter in lin devide drivers for details...
