Rename CD-ROM desktop link

After installing Mandrake 10.0 official I added a couple of lines to my fstab to supermount my DVD-Rom and CD burner drives. However the desktop links created as a result of this are named:

CD_ROM (hdc) [/mnt/cdrom] and
CD_ROM (hdd) [/mnt/cdrom2]

The system won't let me simply select Properties and rename these links, so does anyone know how I go about changing their names to something a little less verbose?

Is it possible for you to delete these icons from your desktop? Possibly as root.

If so, you may be able to then add them again by right clicking on your desktop & selecting "CREATE NEW / DEVICE / CD-ROM DEVICE (CD WRITER DEVICE)"

This is how I added the icons to my desktop. From there I was able to rename them to whatever I wanted.
