Random restarts with 2005 LE and Geforce 6600gt PCI-Express
Since isntalling 2005LE and installing the latest nvidia drivers, everytime a full screen opengl app tries to work, the computer restarts.
Any clues? This a PCI-Express card on mandriva 2005le....geforce 6600 gt
I have tried both of the 7xxx releases of drivers and both yield same result.
Actually, it's not always opengl, but playing videos sometimes too. I'm fine if doing ANYTHING else.
But it always restarts...sometimes it takes about 30 seconds, sometimes instantly. But it will happen on Enemy Territory, screen savers and some videos I'll play.
Any help or pointers to previous threads will be great!!!
I would check the temps listed in your bios when this happens. Sounds like a heat problem, since it is only when you put a heavy graphic load on the system. If that turns out to be the problem, fans are cheap.
