mandrake 9.2 hanging

Help!!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

Mandrake Newbie so please bare with me.

Our Mandrake 9.2 server hung today and It continues to hang when I try to restart it.

How should one troubleshoot this???

I've already tried to upgrade to 10.0 (which also hung during the install process), and created a knoppix boot cd (which works fine).

answers much appreciated??

uhh...can you post any more information; for example, posting any error messages that are displayed when it hangs;
Or, when using a knoppix disk, post your /etc/lilo.conf file...
