I just installed Mandriva One 2007 yesterday and so far I like it. My only problem is that I cant install any .tar.gz files because the make package isn't installed. Does anyone know how I could get this installed?
Use the Package Manager. You'll find it in: System--> Configuration--> Packaging or click on Configure Your Computer, this will start the Mandriva Control Centre.
go to Software Management and click on 'Look at installable software and install software packages' You can type the name of the package you are looking for then select and install it.
In either case you will need to type in your 'root' password.
