Licensing issues

Hi!

I have some confusion over the licensing issues regarding various linux distributions.

Like, Mandrake provide 10.1 Official download edition with 3 CDs, but I also buy 10.1 Official with 4 CDs and even 10.1 Powerpack edition from some linux cd provider websites.

This is confusing me. If I use 10.1 Powerpack sourced from such website, is this LEGAL to USE THE OS.
