Konqueror settings

Hi !

This is peculiar. In Konqueror settings I have the box whith the option "Open directories in separarate windows" unticked. But still directories opens up in separate windows.

Here you can take a look at my setting:

I run Mandrake 9.2

I may have run into this same problem a few days ago after upgrading to 3.2 from 3.1. If I recall it may have something to do with the extensions manager. Try checking there to see what programs are associated with that file type (directory) .There may be duplicate entries. I hoope this helps. Sorry if I am not making sense I haven't slept in over 24 hours hehe.

Thanks grandpuba !

I have looked in the Extension Manager. I don't think the solution lies here. My Konqueror always open up directories in separate windows regardless what type of files the directory contain.

I would appreciate if you, or someone else here, have some more ideas how to set my Konqueror so it not opens up directories in separate windows.

Silly me !

I have a four button mouse. Now, I have just arrived to the Linux world from Windows. In windows I always double click using my fourth mouse button when opening directories. I took this habit whith me into Linux. And in Konqueror this mouse clicking resulted in directories opening up in new windows.

An ordinary left doubleclick in Konqueror results in directories opens up in the same window, just as I want to.

So, the force of habit is strong.
