kernel panic in mandriva 10.2 ppc

Hi all,

Trying to install mandriva 10.2 on a lombard g3, the installer won't even load completely before kernel panics... no init found, try passing init= option to kernel.. I know this is somewhat of a common error after crashes, but this hdd is blank.. just trying to fresh install
Any suggestions to stick with mandriva? or should I just go ahead and jump to ydl?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Maybe the disk is scratched?
If you just burned it, maybe it didn't burn correctly?

At any rate, you're probably looking for a reason that the drive cannot read the disk properly.
