Hello,

I wish to set up a web page for intranet
use.

The purpose is for exchanging ideas and
disscussion. Users should be able post
their views and ideas.

What are my options.

Howto go about it.

That's a very broad area. There's lots of different things that fit in that description:
bulletin boards - phpBB - http://www.phpbb.com bulletin board software similar to LQ (although not the same - LQ uses a commercial one called vBulletin)
slashdot-like - Slashcode http://www.slashcode.com/
blogs - bblog http://www.bblog.com
wikis - Twiki - http://twiki.org/
CMS - Mambo/Joomla - http://www.joomla.org/ http://www.mamboserver.com/

Those are just a start. Google around a bit more and you might find even better apps.
