Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question RH & HP4050N PCL - page, pause, page, pause, page

I have 3 different PCL compatible printers that all do the same thing
when used from my Redhat9 server. The primary one I would like to get
working is a HP4050N. They all are network connected (with their own
IP and jetdirect card). I can print to all of them using numerous
drivers without significant problem.

When I print a multi page document, it prints a page, then pauses,
then prints page 2, then pauses, and so on. When printing a 5 page
document, I am ok with that. In the future we want to be able to print
50 and 100 page documents, and the pause will no longer be tolerable.

I am using CUPS and unfortunately still using Gnomes(RedHats?)
graphical printer configurator. I need to learn the text way to setup
my printers at some point. I have been looking for tutorials, and seem
to find more for webmin then anything else. I have not been able to
find anyone with a similar problem on numerous linux support areas.

If anyone has any ideas on how to get the printer to start printing
and not stop until it is done, it would be greatly appreciated. I
assume it is a spooling issue, but I am not sure. I have posted below
/etc/cups/printers.conf (with IPs modified). I cannot think of any
other relavant config files at this time.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew
