I cannot use gcc 3.2-1 in mandrake 9.0!!!!

hai folks!!
i cannot use the gcc 3.2-1 in mandrake 9.0 I don't know why!! I had installed it. but does not appear in the packages menu. I have tried to reinstall and even that does not work out. Please help me out!!!!

What happens when you try to compile something with it? What error messages do you get?

From a terminal, try 'which gcc' - if that gives you a reply, like "/usr/bin/gcc", try running 'gcc --version'. If it says "gcc (GCC) 3.2.1 ....." and a bunch of other stuff, then you'll at least know it's installed. From there you can try to narrow down why it doesn't work.

my comp. says
g++ : command not found.
does not that mean that the version has not been installed properly on my comp.?? but when i try to reinstall it from cd , it states " Everything already installed". What to do??

Please read this article and reply whether this has got anything to do with my problem.....
