Hi,
I am not ashamed to say I am a newbie,so please be patient
here is my problem:
I d like to know how can I get rpmdrake to find the rpm it needs from the installation cd's, using the ISO's of these cd's,without burning them?
I heard there was a matter with mounting them,so that what I did:
mount -t /my.iso /destinationfolder -o loop
but now? my isos are mounted, but how do I get rpmdrake to find the rpm's it needs from there?
I tried to give the filename and path, using the rpm configuration tool, but it doesn't want to work,I get an error message telling me it failed to copy the folders...
I cant use mandrake yet, since I had troubles during the installation, and now, I really need to install the missing rpm's (I had to skip this part during installation),and my mandrake is useless: no music,no internet,,no server...
please help
sorry about that,I found the solution...
in fact,it seemed that I explained myself quite badly...
please don't take notice of this post, and please forgive me.
In the future,I will think before asking for some help
By the way, thank you for your welcome
just a question while I m here:
why ATI cards won't work well with mandrake?I hope that the new kernel or the 10.0 version will give this problem an answer ^^
The 2.6 kernel should work with ATI, don't know about Mdk 10 - did you grab the ATI drivers from the website or use the "generic" ones that came with the install?
