Help me, please & thank you

I have an aver tv studio tv card, I had to remove kdetv and install another tv client something like iawtv or something. *sigh* anyway my tv card now works, but I cant tune in my premium channels such as hbo, cinemax, showtime. It works in my windows partition but not my linux version. Am I missing a plugin or a lib or something?

please try to use useful thread titles, what would have been wrong with "can't find premium channels on my tv card" ?

To get premium channels, don't you need a cable box of some sort? Maybe Linux does not support this feature yet. I do not know.

In my district I do not have to have a cable box. I pay for these premium channels and recieve them on all of my sets, except my computer. Just curious, as to if anyone knew what to do.
