Help me get my Vid Accelerator working again.

Someone Please help me again...

I know I've asked this before, and I had lots of help with it. But the new Mandy 9.2 has something different in it than 9.1. My problem is that I dont have Acceleration in X anymore.

Here is my XF86 config -4 file.

File generated by XFdrake.

# Multiple FontPath entries are allowed (they are concatenated together)
# By default, Mandrake 6.0 and later now use a font server independent of
# the X server to render fonts.

EndSection

Section "ServerFlags"
#DontZap # disable <Crtl><Alt><BS> (server abort)
AllowMouseOpenFail # allows the server to start up even if the mouse doesn't work
#DontZoom # disable <Crtl><Alt><KP_+>/<KP_-> (resolution switching)

I know that I have the option noaccel there, cause apparently that is "needed" but like I said, I didn't have that line in 9.1 and it worked... Anyone out there know anything that might help? Someone told me that it might be a DRI thing?

Oh, I should also say what happens when I comment out the noaccel line, my screen (and apparently my laptop) just dies. I cant switch to a different TTY or anything, screen goes black also, then im left to use VI to edit in failsafe. Peeze help

glxinfo command will tell you if direct rendering is working or not. I'm waiting for the next version of XFree, which is supposed to include a fixed driver for my vid card (integrated SiS), but understand there's a way to downgrade Mesa 4 back to 3 that would make DRI work with current version.
