help getting ndiswrapper installed

hi im a newb and im not gonna really be in denial....i looked at the wiki page and i have no idea how to install ndiswrapper. Can someone help me here in like plain english? cuz i really need my linksys usb network adapter to work and it doesnt....so help would be appreciated.
