ge mouse wont work on mandrake 10.1


i have a ge optical mouse ps2 and for some reason i cant move the pointer with it but i can click but when i click it moves way up and to the right when i click right now im using the number pad as the mouse but im getting pretty tired of it now anyone know how to fix this

can you post the input device section for your mouse from the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? how many buttons on the mouse? is there a scroll wheel?
