Is there any rule in this forum that a user cannot ask a questions which has been asked by the other members?
If a user ask a question without knowing that has been asked for so many times by the other members, then that thread should be closed without giving the answer?
Shouldn't just leave the thread so that the one who want to answer will answer it.
Is it a moderator job that he would close this thread giving over a thousand links to the posts which has not been related to the questions?

In general that is not the rule. There are certain questions that have been asked literally hundres of times though. For many threads you will be much better served by doing a search and adding to an existing thread.

Just to let you know, I reopened your thread you started before this post, only closing it to stop you from posting non-sense remarks towards me.
You can ask any question on this site, but I only responded to yours to search first, as it has been asked and answered numerous times. Your sort of question is a very general question, which in return I asked you try searching first not only here but readily doc's already available out on the web as well.
I feel as a moderator and member people should try to search for their answers first, instead of calling someone lazy just because in return you didn't get a straight forward answer, but a link instead in which I did happily provide to you in my first response.
I was trying to have a relaxed fun time in my first response, but didn't find it entertaining when you jokingly told me I was lazy and would never push my affero button. I took that as serious responses from you. That is something I don't consider funny.
But your thread is open again, like I said, I only closed it at first to stop you from repeatingly posting non-constructive posts towards me.
There are two reasons why people come to the forums and ask questions.
Because of one of the following reasons.
1. They cannot find the answers to their problem anywhere.
2. They don't want to find the answers through the search-engines because they need the answer in a hurry or they have no time or don't want to read so many things or whatever reason. They need the answer straight away.
For me I really have no time now because it's 11:45 PM in my time. I gotta go to work tomorrow. I have no time to read though and search the answer right now. Then the Moderator closed the thread!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to add to this, when you post a question on a site where members are answering questions out of their own free time, you should respect them by searching first as you might not get a response quickly, it could be hours, even days before a response. So you shouldn't totally rely on others to answer your question in quickly manner if your in a rush. Just a thought.

Ok. nevermine. You are the boss.
I must disagree. I might be able to find the answer to my question after reading through several long documents, however I may not be able to apply my findings to my situation, or I need some guidance. I will usually research my problems before I post up a question here about them, but there are those times when I think the usefullness of "live responders" will work much better than reading through a few hundred documents for an answer.
Anyway, my point is, there are not only 2 reasons people post their questions on sites like this.

I would like to address these:

1. They cannot find the answers to their problem anywhere.
This implies they did a search on the site and didn't find an answer. Posting a new thread or adding to a similar one are both fine.

I have to admit I don't understand this reasoning. If you are in a rush and the question has already been answered you can find that answer via a search in under 10 seconds. If you post a new thread you have to take the time to post it, wait for someone to read it and then wait for someone to respond - this make take more like 10 minutes at LQ.
besides the facts already pointed out that it's much quicker to search than post a new question, do you have any appreciation how insulting that reason is? You think you can treat the well meaning and devoted users of this site as nothing more than a human search engine? personally i think it's pretty disgusting if anyone is able to see people as this, especially ones who know a LOT more than the person asking the questions.
It's not like we're ganging up on you, but I agree with acid that it's pretty oafish reasoning. Clearly instant gratification in the form of extensive search capabilities ain't enough for some ppl.
The reason was I wanted the post by post interaction right from the start while I was trying at the same time. It's easy to solve the problem when anything goes wrong because the whole thread is the complete process from the start.
That's my whole idea of posting a new thread. Not insulting to anybody. And there is nothing to disgust about.
