space before the actual text of post

I would like to express my views regarding the blank space before the text of any posts.

I find that the blank space should be reduced. In certain one line posts it looks very odd. Plus a little less empty space won't harm nobody.

If this can be changed, I think it should be. I leave the decision in the hands of the divine.

May the force be with you. Live Long and Prosper.

P.S. If I sound like a drunk, deranged soul; bear with me, I have a very important exam tomorrow and have been studying straight for the past 6 hours without any food break. Cut me some slack, will ya'

I'm not sure what blank space you are referring to.

You see, the space between the number_of_the_post in a thread, at extreme right corner on the top, and the actual text/body of the post.

It looks to me as if it's the amount of space a hard return would give after the title of a post. I think it just looks large because the title's font is smaller than the post's font.

But look at your own and my post in this thread. I am sure that you didn't strike return. But the space does appear.

You maybe right about the title and the text font theory but it is the same story in replies to the threads.

The only reason our posts don't have titles is that we both use "quick reply" (or both used full reply and din't create a heading ). I don't mind the space - as a teacher of mine once said "white space catches the eye" (and I'm sure the same holds for blue)

There is only a single space between the title of a post (which is sometimes blank) and the text of a post, so it's unfortunately not something we can easily decreases.

I understand. I only meant that when the titles are left blank, then the space appears to be too much, considering the gap that appears between the user name in the left, the post number in the right and the first line of text.
