Why not have the forums more accesible from the first page? It would be helpful to have at least the My Posts and My Threads links there. Also, the buttons on the top right are kind of arbitrary and unattractive.
Well, there is 'User CP' -- far easier on the eyes than 'My Posts', IMHO... Personally, I'm more than happy about the current layout.
I have noticed an odd quirk in the system though -- if you happen to take a bit too long before posting or returning to User CP, then when you do you are presented with someone else's control panel, until you click refresh/User CP a second time. Voila, huge violations of privacy etc. <panics wildly, grabs tinfoil hat and exits stage left>.

The homepage will be updated later this year, when the forums are also updated.
mjrich, you have seen a case where you have access to someone elses UserCP? I have never seen or heard of this, but if someone can verify I'll look into this ASAP.

Yes, though 'access to' is perhaps the wrong term -- more just receiving someone elses CP the first time the button is clicked. I haven't checked the timing of it, but guess it may correspond to the automatic timeout/logout period when someone doesn't manually logout of LQ. I noticed ages ago that the first time I clicked on the UserCP button after leaving the browser open too long without posting, that the CP would contain incorrect information. It was only the other day that I noticed that the User Control Panel For... (top left of the screen) didn't say "mjrich" until the UserCP button was clicked a second time. As soon as this was done however, the data would return to the subscribed threads (etc.) that corresponded to my login.
mjrich - are you using the Google Web Accelerator when you see this? I have seen reports that the cache shows you someone else's page, although you can't actually use it.

No, although there is the similarity in that the page can't be used. All net traffic from here does go through a cache, which potentially could be broken (actually, I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if it was). - Will keep you all posted if/when it rears itself again.
Various. -- Still waiting to see if it happens again (the problem may well have been fixed by now, as so far it hasn't happened since the original post).
