Just people who really like linux and want to promote it. We help where we can... And since we use linux and the PC's are up 24/7 and rarely have any trouble, we have a little more time to help. Luckily I can also type pretty quick

I'm not just on this forum tho. I currently have firefox open on the AMD forum, Leoville, LQ, eBay Australia (computers), folding@home (for now) and sometime various fish and dog lists. Also own the BCs4me border collie mailing list and others...

Some people have little interest in money...something that may be difficult for many to understand.

Sharing knowledge and ideas is much more useful, and much more important.

Everybody on LQ is doing this for no pay - including Jeremy and the Mods. It is a purely volunteer effort.

And I am moving this to Website Suggestions and Feedback, as it's a question about LQ.

People just help out to give back something to the Linux community. I find that when I need help, others help me out, so I do the same It's not about financial gain, but making it easier for others to use Linux or make the transition from other OSes.

While it isn't a business there are still running costs so if you are feeling generous and want to help support jeremy with the running costs remember to drop on over to:
