apt-get/ yum stickies

how about a sticky in each of the distributions sub-forums that indicates the necessary apt-get or yum repository lists ?

I predict a few answers in this thread:

1) people don't read stickies
2) undesire-ability of clogging the forums with stickies because then people are even less likely to read them
3) static-ness of a sticky means it's bad when info changes
4) hence, why don't you use the LQ wiki? (http://wiki.linuxquestions.org)

there ya go. Apologies for the flip attitude, but in all honesty I think the wiki is the way to go.

I'd have to agree myself. Sounds more of a wiki job than a bunch of stickies everywhere.
