Greetings a quick introduction of what I aim on contributing to this vast community and a quick history of me and linux.

Greetings everyone my name is "Yager" or that's the name I have chosen to go by, I have been using Linux for quite some time now and I know alot of the interworking's of the kernel.

The reason I decided to transfer over to the linux os was two main issues Privacy and Openess both my current Windows distrobution was lacking.
I started on Mint and slowly itched my way over to arch and thats where I currently stand and have been standing for quite some time.

I look forward to conversing with like minded people and helping out the linux community as a whole.

Thank you -Yager.

Welcome! There's an Arch-specific forum here on LQ, so you might enjoy that. I, myself, use the LQ SPY link on the right; keeps you up to date on all the latest activity!

Hello and welcome to the forum

Trust me, you're not alone with your concerns. Quite of a number of folks have come over to Linux because of privacy issues.

Regards...

Hello and welcome to LQ.

Just to be clear. Linux has been hit over the years with some nasty security issues too. If you fail to use best practices then you may only slightly improve your problems.
