Hi, I'm new to linux, but I was able to get this working yesterday... However, I had to reinstalll RH9 because I'm new and started messing around with things I shouldn't have heh.
I have a PCMCIA Asus WL-100 card which is based on the prism2 chipset I believe. I installed the wlan-ng rpms for it (prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/) but wlan0 is not listed when I run ifconfig in the console. They're the right rpms because this worked yesterday, I don't know what I did differently then though. If I try to start wlan0 it tells me the device does not seem to be present, delaying initialization. When I insert the card I hear 2 beeps, one sounds like a good beep and the other sounds like something went wrong.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me, but remember I'm new to linux also, so I don't know all that much.

Hmm, well, nevermind... I turned the machine off and took a break, and now it is working properly. I suppose the card just needs to be present upon startup of the pcmcia drivers. It wasn't before.

if it's not present, but you want to use it, there's a trick to do that instead of rebooting the machine.
try [code]/etc/init.d/network restart[code]
