wg511 on mandrake10 - device reset time out
Have been trying for days but refuse to give up!
I have a Micron Transport laptop running Mandrake 10, an Intel ethernet card as eth0 and a WG511 as eth1. This card works fine on the laptop's Win2000 partition (need Win2000 for work!). Have checked all the kernel compile settings against prism54 website instructiions and believe all is fine with that.
When inserting WG511, both lights blink as if it's going to work, but ifconfig -a list only eth0, lo, and sit0, no eth1.
lsmod shows all modules loaded (prism54, yenta, etc).
But /var/log/syslog shows:
kernel: Disabling IRQ10
ifplugd(eth1)[2690]: ifplugd 0.21b initializing.
kernel: Loaded prism54 driver, version 1.0.2.2
PCI: Enabling device 0000:03:00.0 (0000-> 0002)
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 0000:03:00.0
eth1: islpci open()
eth1: resetting device...
eth1: uploading firmware
eth1: could not install irq handler
eth1: firmware uploaded done, now triggering reset...
eth1: device reset timed out
eth1: device reset timed out
prism54: Your card/socket may be faulty, or IRQ line too busy (:
:ifplugd(eth1)[2705]: Using interface eth1/00:00:00:00:00:00.
Googling hasn't found anything on this problem. Can anyone advise me?
