Knoppix wireless connection

Hey Everyone,
I had an extra computer lying around and couldn't find my fc4 cds so I decided to put knoppix on the hd. I got it all working fine, I got the drivers for my linksys wireless card that's in the box and used ndiswrapper to install it, etc. kwifimanager shows that the signal strength is great, but the access point address it gives is 00.00.00.00.00 or something to that effect, and it says i have no ip address. i checked with ifconfig and it only gives me an ip6 addr and not an ip addr... i also have security on my router and tried to set the password with 'iwconfig wlan0 key restricted s: password' but it says its an invalid argument. can anyone help me out? thanks.
Jason

First try to see if your wireless card is working in linux! Disable the router's security and connect again! If it work it must be something from the security setting you selected!

You mean that you disabled the routers security settings and it didn't connect? It must me something from the ndiswrapper!
Show the output of: ndiswrapper -l
