D-Links DWL-g650(A) and prism54 strange problems...

problem: D-Links DWL-g650(A) won't connect to gateway.

distro: Slackware 10.1
kernel: 2.4.29.
drivers: prism54 latest CVS(also tried latest stable) and latest firmware (tried all firmwares).

The card used to work fine for about 2 months, but now it can't find the gateway.

dmesg doesn't show any errors. Neither does /var/log/messages and /var/log/dhcpcd.log.

I've tried changing the powerusage with `iwconfig eth0 txpower 1`. also tried `iwconfig eth0 essid X` and `iwconfig eth0 channel X`. But that used to work automatically before.

The 3com wireless gateway is correctly configured. Nothing has been changed. There is still no encryption and all MAC's are allowed.

I think i've tried everything... the card is detected and the lights are blinking when searching.

is it broken?

Did you change anything before it stopped working? Also, what are the outputs of ifconfig and iwconfig? Finally, check lsmod to see if the prism module actually loaded.

Yeah, that kind of sounds like hardware is the trouble.
