WOW another step further away from M$ - with FlightGear (Civil Aircraft sim) installed and running on my Linux box - I am putting together a small instruction set if anyone is interested.
i guess i crashed into the weeds or whatever was on the side. one time i think i flipped upside down. i actually just installed it out of curiousity, but sometimes i've thought it would be cool to learn how to fly it.
I bought Microsoft Flight Sim once along with a Microsoft joystick. I played the game for a whole day and it was as buggy as hell. Ended up taking it back and getting a refund, not sure i should have though, not really the guys fault the software was buggy. I kept the joystick just in case and hope to install Flightgear when i get my desktop back up and running. A joystick does give you a better experience when playing flight sims. Getting the foot pedals would probably make it even better.
