Xine

I get this error when I try to play a DVD with Xine:
libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable.

*** libdvdread: CHECK_VALUE failed in ifo_read.c:1522 ***
*** for info_length % sizeof(uint32_t) == 0 ***

I can play CD's fine. Please advise...

Do you have libdvdcss (or libdvdcss2) installed? This supports dvd encryption.

I did a yum install for libdvdcss and libdvdcss2

That returns:
No Match for argument: libdvdcss and libdvdcss2
Nothing to do.

Also when I try to run a CD I get this message:
libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable. It is my understanding the libdvdcss counters the encryption problem.

Thoughts...

Is it redhat/fedora?
I'm not quite sure how is it done under this distro, but you have to figure out what's the package name that contains these libs.
Search google for 'cambuca xine puc rio'. They have some packages addressing that.

I found an RPM that addressed the issue and now I can view video's
