Smile "The greeter program appear to be crashing"


Hi All,

I logged off from normal user as i want to log in as root.

The error it gives is as follows

The greeter program appear to be crashing. I will attempt to use a different one.

It allowing me to login to terminal but not to X window.

Try this login via one of the ttys and do the following

PHP Code:
rm -Rf /tmp/.X0-log 
Then type at the command line
PHP Code:
startx 
.

That should get you up and running. This happens in Fedora 7 and i dunno whether the bug has been fixed.
