Word Docs on Fedora/Firefox

Hi All,

I have come accross a problem when i try and open a word document in the firefox browser on fedora. it opens the box correctly where you can chose save as or open. but if you click open it says it's a BIN file and doesn't work. but if you choose save it opens fine onced saved on the desktop.

however as there is more than 1 document i want to open some work and some don't. which is seriously confusing. I have tested all DOCS on a windows XP machine and they work fine!

any Ideas people?

Do you have open office installed? That should open those type files.

Yes, that program is installed.

any other ideas. if you save it. it works fine. however if you open it straight from the webpage then it doesn't read it right and says it's a bin file.

You need to install a plugin for your browser for this to work. Plugger is designed for this.
