Where can I get a DOS emulator for Linux?


Hi there folks

Does anyone know of a good DOS emulator?
And how easy is it to get working??

hmm...I've seen two of them, the first one was way back in the time, and I don't know if it's any good these days (not sure really..can't even remember it's name). but..the one I can think of is Wine's DOS emulation. Wine can run win32/dos apps, or that's what they say (some work, some don't), so you might want to try that out. it's found at winehq.org with downloads and instructions, or if you use some package managing app that lets you download the binaries from some server, download wine.

wine's usage is somewhat simple - there's basically one config file you have to edit a bit to make it work (tell what version you want to imitate, fill in some paths and so on..simple really, instructions are there to help you out.).

there is Dosemu

I just got qemu with freedos going easily. Haven't really tried much with it though...
