Dos Emulator without Dos

I've looked into Dosemu, but it requires a working version of Dos. I don't want to set up a working version of dos on my computer. Is there any way to run old Dos games just from a linux system?

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
