It could be very useful!
A very useful partitioning tool for Linux is QTparted (availible on the Knoppix CD). Not exactly partition magic, but very useful (can resize exsisting partitions for one thing).
I would like to see alot of programs ported, most of them games. Here's a few:
- DivX encoder
- Half-Life
- Doom 3 (I bet that will happen, seeing most ID games run on Linux)
- GTA: Vice City

3- this should be on your devel disk for your distribution
4- a terminal!
I agree with all of you guys
dreamweaver (although I like frontpage, that will never happen) and photoshop. Other than that I would be happy never using windows again. beeing fairly a newbie I Like what comes package with suse so far, Trying to convert all my clients to linux.
MYOB, Quicken, Pastel, Agrimaster etc to name a few
Accounting software packages
Remember your accountant is doing your tax returns etc
on a windows platform
that is often directly exposed to the internet
My tax lecturer said her computer network often crashed
running 95,98 & ME
Does this make you shudder with fear
becoz it should do
Some decent accounting and business packages
ported for Linux would definately not go astray
Hey Novacat why a DivX encoder? when we already got one, Avidemux2.
Try it out. It's an allinone GUI for everything you will ever need to encode..
And It's allot faster then all the encoders for windows..

As an aside (and I'm taking the OT bait and running with it)
My accountant uses a stand-alone network running OS2 and the tax program he uses is the one he coded himself. Someday, I should introduce him to Linux (that is, if he doesn't already know about it.)
Never heard of Agrimaster, is that some sort of farm management app?
