when I called 'Nero-Show-Time' ... to read my Video ... there was an PopUp-Window coming up ... telling me .. that there is a File missing .. for Decoding ! .... 'buy now' ! ....giving me advice to UpGrade .. to 'Nero9 reloaded' ! ... for resolve this problem ! ...
after a lot of E-mails exchanged ... they told me .. that I got an 'OEM-Version' of Nero ! ..
what means ... I must buy a brand new 'Full-Version' .. and only 20% refond on it ! ...
Nero is good ! ... properly the best Burner-program on the market ... but for me it's just 'overloaded' .... like Windows-Vista ! ...
didn't have the chance to try 'NeroLINUX 4' ... of cause those install-problems with 'LINUX-mint' ! ... maybe I try 'Mandriva' ... or go back to 'Ubuntu 9.o4 .. or 9.1o ! ...
don't kno' na ! ... will see ! ... Nero is expensive ! .. but less in the US ! ...

I chosed the 'Debian-Version' ! ... and loaded down ! ... firefox did ask .. what to do with this file ? ... and I went for 'open it with deb-install-manager' ! ... bingo ! ...
the install-window opened right there and start the installation ! ....
YES we can ! .. just do it ! ...
but it's a 'demo-version' .. just valid till o5. of January 2o1o ! .....
I'm realy glad now ! ... cause I like this green-color of Pepper-Mint .. in 'LINUX-Mint' ! ...
will try now .. to get some other programes .. to install with 'deb-install-manager' ! ...
will keep this nice .. green-colored 'LINUX-Mint' ! .. it's running fine .. on my little Toshia-NetBook NB 1oo-1oX ! ... with just 8o Giga hard-disk ..and 'lowmem' of about 512 MB !

You are most welcome. I'm glad I could help you. I understand your excitement when you are able to make something work!!!!!!!
One note of caution though. As much as possible, stick to the packages (programs) in the repositories. Your second source of packages should be through Launchpad. This gives you maximum protection against possibly picking up a virus, and it also gives you automatic updates. The downloading of debian packages directly from the software publisher should only be done when you need a specific program that isn't available in either the repositories or in Launchpad.
a guestion for 'smeezkitty' ! ... what do you mean ? .. with 'how about settling down ?' ! ...
and what kind of 'operating-system' ? ... you are writing ? ...
don't understand your little 'Cookies' ! ... maybe it's a 'SPAM' ? ... ha ha ha ! ...
He meant you could at least try to not write like you are on drugs. I can not help imagining you constantly jumping in front of the table while you write.
Keep your posts concise and on the topic, and avoid double and triple posting all the time. It would be OK if you be some important new info, but ranting about everything and nothing at the same time irritates people after a while. Specially in thread devoted to gather info about peoples needs.

I got you beat, I'm running Mint on a 5 year old Toshiba laptop with 256Megs!....!
