A descent media center like WMC. MythTV is ok but waaaay behind. GTA 4... I love this game. Would be awesome to be able to disconnect my windows partition from the internet and only switch over to watch TV, movies, and Hulu. ULead DVD Factory. I have Devede but nowhere near the same. Shoot.... although devede is faster, even windows movie maker is graphically better. Honetly I have a longer list for linux apps ported to windows. I would love to have identical (similar) systems on both partitions so I never HAVE to boot into the other to do something... only switch according to mood or whatever.

Not sure if you've tried it, but I find XBMC to be pretty nice. Supports Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Hmm someone has already mentioned PhotoShop (I didn't try if it works under wine anyways), so I will say... hmm... Beach Life!! Ahh I can't believe I have to waste a whole partition just to run games! X_X

You have tried wine + PlayOnLinux? It can run Photoshop CS if i recall correctly.
I want NeedForSpeed! Of course torcs does exist but it lacks the polish and the number of levels etc that I am used to! I want a real need for speed and not a substitute!
Again, you have tried wine + PlayOnLinux? It has scripts for several Need for Speed titles. Or buy Cedega or CrossOver and play the games you like as they should be played.
And posting wishes to have games that are native to Linux is just...... not smart. No great game will be designed for Linux since over 90% of the market (paying customers) are on Windows. You try designing the game for 2-3 years with 10-50-100 employees on proprietary software and then give if away. lol
Distribution: debian, sometimes sprinkled with a touch of fluxbox; ubuntu on occasion,

As a mediacenter, check out MediaPortal by Team-Mediaportal.
I use it as a server, for watching tv, listening to playlists (generated by mediamonkey :-) ), watching movies from a nas-server, listening to radio, internet and not-internet..
It's a 'legacy'-application from my olden Windows-days, but one which I have difficulty parting with..
I haven't taken the time yet to look for a replacement under linux, but I would gladly jump at it, should it be ported to linux. Until then, I'll have to put up with Windows in my livingroom
i refuse to use any software from google
i draw the line at google search
(i hope this is not considered trolling and i will stop and no i am not trying to get my post count up)
Just out of curiosity, is there a particular reason you won't use Google software? I mean, several of their apps are on Linux now, they have their own software repository, and they even use Linux at their center in California.
What I'd love to see, is Google's custom Linux Distribution released to the public. Even if it would have to be devoid of some security-crippling software.
And I'm not sure if I mentioned this yet, but nVidia's Software Rendering drivers and nVidia Forceware (Windows XP version). Made my Windows XP run so much better back when I still had XP, and I still miss it so much.
a good video converter that supports mp4a files or a youtube downloader. i run mandriva linux i586 2008.1 VLC player will play pretty much everything except mp4a files weird.
