VSFTPD connection problems

I use Fedora Core I. The computer is located behind LinkSYS router. I can connect with problems from anohter internal computer to the ftp (ftp 192.168.1.100). But when I try to connect using external IP , connection CANNOT be established.

The exact error message is: " ftp: connect: Connection timed out"

I opened ports 20, 21,23 on the router.

Any ideas what can cause such problem?

[root@localhost vsftpd]# netstat -a | grep ftp
tcp 0 0 *:ftp *:* LISTEN
tcp 37 0 192.168.1.100:38193 192.168.1.100:ftp CLOSE_WAIT
tcp 23 0 192.168.1.100:37515 192.168.1.100:ftp CLOSE_WAIT
tcp 23 0 192.168.1.100:37523 192.168.1.100:ftp CLOSE_WAIT
