Question Video retouching programs for linux?

I've asked a similar question in this forum about video editing, but what I really wanted was linux software to retouch video files. Things like improving color, sharpness, clarity in each frame or something of that sort. Maybe something that would automatically update each frame. Is there such software?

Cinepaint, I believe is for frame by frame work.
I've never used it... I just know it's there.

These folks are talking a good game:

http://www.zs4.net/

but they are in very early alpha.

I have seen editors that have filters for different things
(kino I think), but I think most linux editors are for DV.

I'm going to try that "zs4", and I'll post back in a few days.

I could'nt get zs4 running on my Slack box.
(had a gui for a few seconds!)
While not meant for frame by frame stuff, "Lives"
has many filters for improving the quality of a
video. The live cd "Dynebolic" has an exellent "Lives"
package, as well as "Cinellera" and lots of other stuff
as well.

I had something to add to this thread. It seems that I will only be able to retouch a movie by first saving the movies as individual .jpg files and that could be at least 20,000 or more individual fies. That's a lotta files to retouch individually and a long time to do it with a regular desktop computer. Is there an easier way to do the remastering thing as a whole movie? The equivalent would be Sony Vegas which does the movie frames as a whole. Anything in linux equivalent to that?
