I'm afraid there's nothing like that for Linux yet. I've been looking for that myself for a while too. Something like NeroVision. I know it's a bad application, but I don't have time to convert stuff, then burn, then lose CD's trying, then repeat.

it's an script created by a member in this forum (wapcaplet?). I've tried an early version, in fact, I think it was his first release, and it worked fairly well converting a .avi. Problem is, you will still need another program to create a DVD/(S)VCD structure and yet another one to burn it. Way to much work for me... but you may like it

Now, if anyone knows of a program that can do everything as nerovision does, please tell me. That would surely be a Windows/Nero killer in this especific area
