Vertical lines when logging out of KDE

Hi there,

Dunno if anyone else has had this problem. Its no biggie but when i go to log out of KDE (3.1), instead of the desktop going darker - it scrambles with these verticle white lines. I haven't had this problem with other PC's i've installed Linux/KDE on - only on my DELL Optiplex GX110.

Any ideas?

have u set your screen resolution refresh rate and settings properly. if yes change the theme and check

yeah - try toning down the resolution and also the refreshrate if you can - just to check. I doubt if it is the driver but anything is possible - sure on my pc - If I move the monitor cable the wrong way I get a yellow screen - i think it is some sort of short somewhere on the video card.
