Upgrade from 9.2 to 10 Mandrake - eth0 and sound

I had eth0 and sound working in Mandrake 9.2 but after upgrade to 10.0, It gives a 'failed' message for eth0 and ifconfig -a only shows loopback and no eth0.
Sound is gone also.
I tried following based on suggestions:
1- 'Configure computer'-> bootloader->
and selecting enable acpi, Force no acpi and force no local acpi.
2- 'Configure computer'->network connections -> removed eth0 and then reinstalled eth0 which worked until I rebooted the machine.
On reboot , eth0 failed to come up again and did not show in ifconfig -a.
Have to reinstall eth0 on every reboot.

Sound has not come back at all.

I had eth0 and sound working fine under 9.2 Mandrake.

Please advise.

Thanks.
