.txt/.rtf/.html eBook reader for Linux?

I have a cool app called uBook on my PDA which lets me read HTML, RTF, and TXT files very easily, formatting them like a book and allowing for autoscrolling, etc.

Are there any apps like this for the Linux desktop? I want to avoid PDF/Acrobat use at all costs.

This seems to indicate uBook runs flawlessly under Wine. You can download uBook here.

Ybook reads txt/rtf/html files and plain pleasure to use for reading. it needs wine/cedega/crossover-office.

as a uBook user on windows I had the exact same problem
I am using PyBookReader as a replacement.
It cannot open rars - but can open zips and bz2 and it can't display the cover, but not a really big loss imo
another option is Kniga, which is Qt based. I did not try that one, but it looks good
