Hope this finds everyone in good health.

This is what I am trying to do. The Principal of my school prints out a daily bulletin for the faculty every nite.

I would like to automate this process by having him simply type it up as a text file to a specified location on our network. Then at a specified time I could have a perl script read that text file and convert into html syntax or leave it as text to be published to our intranet side via a cgi include and hopefully save some trees.

Slick eh? The thing is does anyone know where I can get such a script if one already exists, I surely would not want to re-invent the wheel.

That something along the right lines?

If not, you could do the unspeakable, and have him type it in Word or Frontpage and save it as html, in a specific place on the network. Then have a small script move it over to the web tree. Yeah, I agree, that idea sucks.
