strange problem with either evolution or yahoo pop forwarding

hi all,

i'm having a very wierd problem with evolution (or perhaps the fault is with yahoo pop forwarding). i will sometimes get messages where the last character of each word in the heading is missing. thus, while the heading in my yahoo webmail looks like this:

Bill Jones RE: Mac OS X

in evolution it looks like this:

Bil Jone <bill@billjones.com> RE: Ma O

(evolution shows the email address with no problem in the header--yahoo mail doesn't display the email address like that). any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

thanks a lot,
hoby
