I have installed the alsa-oss, the same version with my alsa-lib and so on. But when I try to launch it with the command "aoss realplay", the line tells me that:
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libaoss.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
So my realplayer still stutters with sound. Many thanks for your attention.

The problem dosen't lies in realplayer itself but the alsa driver. When I turn on xmms and playing music, realplayer can play .rmvb well but with no sound. On the other hand, if I play it alone, I can hear the sound but it stutters.
So, I think it is the driver that cause the problem. I installed the alsa-oss. When I launch the realplayer with "aoss realplay", the command that works should be "Warning: LD_PRELOAD="/usr/lib/libaoss.so", but I get the following error message: "ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libaoss.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored."
So, the problem remains.
Still I tried your solution, but it doesn't work. Anyway, thanks for your help.
