StartX gives fatal error IO 104...0 requests

Unable to configure gives fatal error.
Can anyone pls help me in resolving the issue.
my machine is Pentium IV 1.7GHz with 1 GB RAM.
I have installed Linux 2.1AS.

Please help,

When do you get that error? When X is started? If so,
please post your X11 config file and the error log (/var/log/....).
Or when you configure it?
Also nice to know is the videocard, mouse (PS2/usb) and keyboard (PS2/usb) that your using.

google search results for fatal error IO 104; I did not check them

startx error

Fresh slackware 10.2 Install - Please help...
I got the same error. As user $startx = XIO Fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on Xserver ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed with 0 events remaining. No more xfce now. Please explain code i need to type to get into whatever file I have open to edit. I clicked on something with a 4 at the end of it in xfce file manager?
