Start Applications Menu - Missing things

Hi,

I am running Mandrake 9.2 Download Edition. I recently decided to run the update manager, and go ahead and check all of the options. At one point in the middle, everything was working fine. After they all had completed, I noticed things were missing.
The Start Applications Menu is missing nearly everything it had in it. In fact, all it has now is Logout / Lock / Recent Documents / Multimedea. In addition to that, when I try to open the Home shortcut, nothing happens. When I try to open a mounted drive via icon, it asks what program it should use.
I can't remember all the programs that were updated after it was working ok, so I'm not sure how this happend.
Has anyone experienced this? Or have any suggestions as how to go about fixing these problems?

Thanks in advance!
Beau

Type
update-menus -v
in a terminal
when it appears to have stopped press Enter to return to a command prompt.
No need to be root.

I had to do this fairly regularly in Mandrake 9.2
It's fixed in Version 10+
