Searching for a good PIM - sync and offline

I have been "flirting" with Linux for a long time, and am trying again.. One of the things that is holding me back a bit is the lack of a PIM that fulfills certain requirements. I need a PIM that:

has a good calendar function.
Syncs with Google Calendar
Keeps the calendar in offline mode.
Is NOT Read-Only in offline-mode, so I can add/delete/modify events while offline, and the PIM will sync with GCal once online.

Ideally would sync Google contacts, but I guess I cannot get it all...

I know about the GCalDaemon option, but I would prefer not to use that one..

Thanks
