screwed up eterm after deleting gdm

Hi all!

Recently i have tryed fluxox window manager, and i must say i like it very much. So when i was logging with gdm, the Eterm was working perfectly.
But when i uninstalled gdm (i no more need a login manager) i found out that Eterm doesn't print some characters correctly. This issue is focussed on the accents. I cannot put anyone, instead of that, eterm prints some wierd characters and it's quite annoying.
The only solution is to install again gdm, and then.... boom!!! works fine again.

I tried to copy the /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc file into my home and adding:
gkrellm &
fluxbox

but didn't help....

Thanks in advance

You can list the names of the files provided by the gdm package with:

rpm -ql gdm | less

Then you can try deleting these files one by one until you create the eterm error again. Once you find out which file(s) you need for eterm to work properly then you can try removing gdm and then adding only the gdm files that eterm needs.
